PARTIAL LIST OF HISTORIC WINDOW RESTORATION PROJECTS Stained Glass Wood Windows Leaded Glass THE CHAPEL, PRINCETON UNIVERSITY - Princeton, New JerseyConservator for the stained glass windows of the Chapel. Responsibilities include the complete restoration of stone-set windows comprising over 10,000 square feet of stained and leaded glass. Full documentation; complete releading; edge-gluing; painting of replacement pieces; reinstallation. EMMA WILLARD SCHOOL - Troy New York Current project. Restoring 3,600 leaded & stained glass windows, set in double-hung wood sash (3,000) and stone set (600). Removals, complete releading, edge-gluing of broken glass, installation. Complete restoration of wood sash, wood frames and all operating hardware. U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY CADET CHAPEL - West Point, New York Consultant to the Army for the restoration of 5,000 sq. ft. of stained glass fabricated by the Willet Studios of Philadelphia. Responsibilities included: preparation of condition reports, conservation philosophy and RFP bid documents; evaluation of restoration studio proposals; preparation of benchmark sample panels and supervision of quality control throughout the project. Prepared specification for mortar mix and consulted on repair of shifted stones over the altar window. Inspected HVAC system and made recommendations for repair. BLAIR HALL, PRINCETON UNIVERSITY - Princeton, New Jersey Restoration of 826 wood double-hung and casement sash with leaded glass panels. Work included: complete releading of all leaded panels; complete restoration of wood sash to include: complete paint removal; rejoining corners; epoxy consolidation and filling; reworking profiles; exterior painting and matching interior faux finish. Fabricated a number of replica sash. 712 5TH AVENUE – Manhattan, NY Conservator for the restoration of the Lalique cast glass façade comprising 276 cast glass panels. Responsibilities include: window survey; complete documentation; removal from steel frames; edge-gluing and in fills; assisting architect with the design of new setting details; reinstalling restored panels back into frames restored by others. CHANCELLOR GREEN, PRINCETON UNIVERSITY - Princeton, New Jersey Restoration of 4 monumental laylights and 24 clerestory windows. All glass hand-stenciled with trace and matte paint. Restoration work included: complete documentation; restoration of laylight wood frames; complete releading; edge-gluing; copper-foil repairs; paint replica pieces for previous mismatched repairs; add structural fins to the original support system; reinstall. COOPER-HEWITT MUSEUM - New York, New York Restored 120 historic double hung windows, 20 wood doors, monumental wrought iron gates and replicated historic garden doors made of 8/4 oak. Designed custom UV filtering insulated glazing for all sashes. Supervised installation of new alarm system. TRINITY CHURCH – Princeton, NJComplete restoration of 18 windows to include complete documentation; complete releading; edge-gluing; copper-foil repairs; paint replica pieces for previous mismatched repairs; add structural fins to the original support system; reinstall.LAMINGTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH – Bedminster, NJ. Restoration of ten monumental double hung windows with stained glass panels. All glass hand-stenciled with trace and matte paint. Restoration work included: complete documentation; restoration of wood sash and frames; complete releading; edge-gluing; copper-foil repairs; paint replica pieces for previous mismatched repairs; add structural fins to the original support system; reinstall. PASSAIC COUNTY COURTHOUSE - Passaic County, New Jersey Survey all of the tower windows of 1875 Courthouse Annex. Restore 32 wood windows (double-hung, casement, and transoms). Restoration to include limited replication where windows cannot be saved; epoxy consolidation of wood sash and frames; restoration of 32 leaded windows to include complete re-leading.
